Rolling Shutters are used to protect, secure, and cover openings for many types of
applications. The upper housing of the shutter stores the operator, reel, and slats and is
operated by using one of the following; straps, cranks or motors. The slats are moved and
stored in the upper housing by the operator rolling onto the reel. They are guided out of
the housing by side tracks.
Rolling shutters are designed in two shutter systems:
- SYSTEM I :
System I shutters are designed for heavy-duty applications. The System I
shutter has four types of slats and a choice of three housing shapes. These shutters can
be used for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- SYSTEM II :
System II shutters are designed for medium-duty applications. The System
II shutter uses curved type slats to allow for smaller housing where limited head room is
a factor. The System II shutter has three types of slats and a choice of two housing
shapes.

ACCORDION SHUTTERS:
Accordion shutters can be used for many types of applications and will protect, secure
and cover openings. The accordions have roller-supported blades which move inside an upper
assembly. The blades stack on the sides of the opening and bi-fold toward the center when
operated. The shutter is operated by pulling the blades across the opening. All of the
accordion systems we manufacture offer hurricane protection.
Designed in three accordion systems:
- BERNARDO ACCORDION SYSTEM :
This 4" blade is designed for heavy-duty applications
and can be used for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The Bernardo
accordion system is Dade County, FL rated. (Miami-Dade County, FL notice of acceptance
01-0709.08 to 9/7/2005)
- HI - TECH ACCORDION SYSTEM :
This 4" blade is designed for medium-duty
applications and is used for residential and commercial applications. The Hi - Tech
accordion system is Dade County, FL rated. (Miami-Dade County, FL notice of acceptance #
00-0307.01 to 4/10/2003)
- STANDARD ACCORDION SYSTEM :

COLONIAL SHUTTERS:

Colonial shutters look like traditional wood shutters. They are hinged at the sides with hinges that allow the shutter to be clear of the window in the open
position. Depending on the size, they may also have bi-fold or tri-fold hinges that allow each panel to hide behind each other when in the open position.
When closed, the shutters are secured using horizontal bars for the utmost protection against violent weather.
The Colonial shutters are custom manufactured of heavy duty extruded aluminum
alloy that, unlike most similar shutters, are fastened together by stainless
steel hardware to achieve optimum strength. The fully assembled shutters
are then primed and painted using ESP applied high performance acrylic
enamel. This paint is formulated for superb long term weather exposure,
outstanding color, gloss retention, and resistant to corrosion and abrasion.
The shutters are available in more than 25 standard colors and can also
be custom color matched.
The Colonial shutters are engineered and tested to meet the most stringent building code requirements including the new Florida Building Code and Miami Dade County Code.
BAHAMA SHUTTERS:
Bahama shutters add a distinct tropical look to a structure. They are hinged at the top and are supported by adjustable arms when open. They offer continuous
shading and privacy, and are designed to be lowered to a close, fastened position for storm protection.
